Rules and Regulations

 

The Board of Directors has adopted the following regulations governing activities and facility use. The most recent review was conducted on March 11, 2003.

1. Clubhouse
The clubhouse is intended for use primarily by the members. By making special arrangements with the general manager, a member may request use of the facility for a private party.
A. Charges
The following daily rental rates shall apply
Upstairs dining room, bar, and food
Members: $50
Non-members: $250
Upstairs dining room, bar, and no food:
Members: $100
Non-members: $350
Tiffany room with food :
Members: $25
Non-members: $50
Tiffany room with no food :
Members: $35
Non-members: $75
B. Occupancy
Legal capacities for occupancy have been established as follows:
Tiffany room: 30 persons
Main dining room: 200 persons
2. Clubhouse
Guests residing in the corporation���s membership area ( Story County and adjacent counties ) may attend functions or golf a maximum of three ( 3 ) occasions in a calendar year. There shall be no limitations for guests residing outside the corporation���s membership area. The member shall pay Guest fees and all guests must register in the pro shop.

3. Children
Children under 12 years of age are not permitted on the course or in the clubhouse without an accompanying adult member, except on junior golf lessons days. Children under 12 years may not play golf on Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays prior to 12:00 p.m.
4. Golf
United States Golf Association ���Rules of Golf��� and local ground rules shall govern all play.
1. Players wishing to participate in tournaments requiring handicaps must record their scores for each nine holes played and have a minimum of ten scores to establish a handicap.
2. All players must have an identification tag on their golf bag.
3. Each player must have his or her own golf clubs and bag.
4. Tuesdays, starting the 2nd Tuesday in May and ending the 1st Tuesday in September (except on holidays), shall be designated as ladies day. Play on ladies day, after 3:00 p.m. is restricted to ladies 21 years of age or older.
5. Thursdays, except on holidays, shall be designated as men���s day. Play on men���s day after 12:00 p.m. is restricted to men 21 years of age or older.
6. All tournaments must be approved and scheduled by the Board of Directors. Club tournaments are restricted to members only. League play & the Calcutta are restricted to person���s 21 years and older, otherwise all tournaments are restricted to person���s 18 years of age or older, with the exceptions of junior tournaments and parent/child tournaments.
7. Single players shall receive the least preference for tee times on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. No more than five players shall constitute a group without prior approval of the general manager.
8. Tee times shall be reserved on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
9. Foursomes and fivesomes playing the second nine may alternate with other groups teeing off number one tee.
4. Golf Carts
Gas or electric golf carts shall be subjected to the following restrictions and regulations:

4. Grounds
Use of the property and the lake is intended for the membership. Members must check in at the clubhouse. Fishing shall be restricted to members and their families. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Hunting is not permitted on Ballard Golf and Country Club property.

All member responsibilities, requirements and privileges are outlined in section 2 of the corporation by-laws. The Board of Directors recommends that all members read this section.
